Christmas Over The Years...

Christmas over the years. Surprisingly, I don't have that many pictures of me at Christmas. I expected a lot more but as I hunted through my many photo files on my computer, I didn't find many. At any rate, here are the pictures I do have. Most of which I do think come from Christmas. Some may not have, my mom will probably end up correcting me on those!

240
I'm gonna say, first Christmas?

163
I don't think my mom would have put herself through this torture unless it was Christmas.

038
I was very into the holidays back then, or at least my mom was. We even had a green bridle for him. I miss these Christmases though. After dressing up in all the bells and everything a bunch of us would head out into the streets of Burbank and Christmas carol and collect canned goods. It was a ton of fun and I really wish I could drive all the way down there again and do it. I wonder if it still occurs every year. It was always fun.

049
Aussie was even in the spirit of the holidays.

033
Then there was last year, our beautiful tree.

037
Our horse statue with lights.

And Working Man knows his wife very well. I think he gave me five pairs this Christmas, two Christmases ago. I think he didn't quite know what to get me, but he figured it out.

When I get pictures of our Christmas this year, I'll have to post those. For now, this is all I've got.

My Holiday Hair...

This never happens, my hair never does anything for the holidays. This year, it's celebrating Christmas with me. It's gone all...well, you'll see.

First, locate what you want and read the directions. For the sake of your hair, read.the.directions.

002-3
There's my choice. It really is easy.

004-3
Before you pick your final color, check the sides of the box and make sure that the color you're getting will have the effect on your hair color you expect. If it's not there, it's not meant for your hair! Find another one that is!

005-3
This is what I looked like before. *Cringe*

008-3
After making my hair all dye covered.

013-3
After you shower, your hair is going to look frightening. It's not going to look anything like it will when you've dried it.

015-3
Fire engine red! That was not at all what I was looking for!

016-2
Ah, after a session with the hair dryer, the color cooled to a light copper.

017-2
Some of the blonde is still in there, kind of giving me unintentional highlights.

018-2
And gives it dimension.

019
If you go artsy with the photo, I become a little orange again.

020
The back of my head, again, the blond peeks through. I'm glad it did in the end.

024
In case you couldn't tell, I like it.

All the pretty horses...

Over the years, I've had a lot of horses. I don't remember how old I was when I got to lease my first horse, but I've had them ever since. I took a break in college but when I got back out to an area I could have one, I got one!

078
The first horse I ever leased, Maggie. She was awesome. I used to ride her bareback everywhere. There was no better horse to first lease.

011
Another horse I leased, Scarlet. She was definitely a few steps above Maggie. She had more spirit and she tested me more.

199
Then there was Shiloh. We owned him. He had a mustache, he had a lot of trust issues but he learned to trust me and my mom.

185 - Copy
Then there was Yuma. We owned him as well. He was another that you could ride anywhere bareback. He wouldn't go anywhere with a halter...because he didn't have to. You could certainly try though.

189 - Copy
He was mighty handsome in show clothes though.

056
And he did really well at anything and everything you put him to. As long as it wasn't too hard, then he told you to go find someone else to work that hard. He certainly wasn't going to.

214
Then there was Bert. He looked really nice, had a lot of go...had no woah. Not a good thing. Probably would have been a great cross country horse though.

201
Then there was Monarch. Best horse in the world. He had hearing trouble which is why he had cotton in his ears. He was an awesome jumper. Unfortunately, he had ringbone, a degenerative disease in the hoof that was incurable and made him unusable for jumping. It made me very sad to lose him.

067
Then there was Sunny. Sweet and spirited. I ran out of time for him in high school and sold him. That and he threw me off him and I ended up unconscious. That might have had something to do with it...maybe.

All in all, I've owned a lot of great horses. There's a bunch of other horses I've owned over the years but I don't have pictures of all of them. Quite unfortunate. And of course, there are the horses I've had since I've been here. I'll do something on them another day. Tomorrow, a holiday special!

Puggle Play...

Do you know how hard it is to get pictures of your puppy playing when you're the one making her play? Yeah, really difficult. So, forgive the tilt and the lack of composition of the following photos, just enjoy the puggle play. It won't be long before she no longer plays like this. It's a sad thing. Lucy no longer plays like this, she's all growed up. *Tear*

005-2

011-3
Pretty pretty princess.

017
Nom nom nom

023
Rawr!

025
See? Lucy just wants to be pet. Puggle wants to play.

015-2
Wait a minute...what's going on here?

You think I take a lot of pictures of the same thing now, wait until we have kids!

You shall all die...

Our puggle Honey is ready to take us out. Working Man and I that is. Look at this:

001
To my eyes, it's darling!

002-2
Isn't she just an adorable little sausage!

004-2
Oh my, how precious!

007
In her eyes (when they're uncovered) this is a new form of torture Mommy has found in a drawer somewhere.

010-2
I will kill you all.

011-2
Oh the shame...

013
Why aren't you bursting into flame before me?!

015
Just put me down and get out of my face! But please take it off.

Please?

I love Honey...
