Sister K Visits

My sister and I have a 9 year age difference. She grew up with my dad and step-mom and I grew up with my mom. As a result, we did not spend much time together. She is 15 now and as she is getting older, we're starting to talk a little more. How on earth did she grow up so fast? Last I remember I was 9, she was a baby in her crib and I was hoping she'd wake up. Now I look for the snooze button. Kidding.

Anyway, my dad and K took a motorcycle ride up to Oregon and on their way decided to stop at our house. I told my dad that I wanted to take K on a ride. She hasn't ridden since she was one of those wee little kids and she's never ridden on her own horse. So I knew this would be an experience. Hopefully a good one!

Hey Ash, do we really gotta do this?

Seriously?

(Out of the corner of her mouth) Don't you dare let me go

Me: Don't worry, you'll love this in no time

I'm happy to report that this ride went very well for all involved. Sister K loved her ride and I let her go about 1/4 of the way through. She loved it so much that she begged our dad to bring her back on their way home. See you Friday Sister K!

Wishing to be horseback again,
