And then it snowed...

So we went to Reno to renew our vows. Seriously, try and say that three times fast. I couldn't even type it once without many errors...and it has nothing to do with my typing skills.

031-2
So here's one of only a few pictures of me. Remember? The face rebellion?

033-2
I was able to photoshop the face rebellion in this one. I didn't mess with all of the flaws, if I had, I would have been working on it for hours. I just took care of the big generals in the army on my face. On that note, I love my eyes. Beautiful.

039-2
After the renewal.

042-2
Aw, we're so cheesy. I love us.

043
And then it snowed...in Reno! According to the limo driver, not too uncommon, it just doesn't stick around.

044
So I thought, no big deal. The snow will be gone from here tomorrow, no biggie.

Or so I thought.

And away we go...

For those of you who do not know, Working Man and I celebrated our first anniversary on Saturday. Our plan was for WM to pick me up from work, head straight to Reno, renew our vows, and eat dinner. Like last year though, it's not that easy. The storm of the century decided to roll through. They renamed it something more catchy, but Working Man couldn't remember what it was, so apparently it wasn't that catchy. At any rate...driving up was just as interesting as last year. Lots of snow, lots of dark, lots of signs saying we needed chains.

We don't need no chains...we've got four wheel drive and snow tires. So worth it.

Pictures!

010-2
Notice WM's excitement. I was equally excited but was not ready for my close-up. Rather, my face has not been ready for a close-up for a week. So you won't see many pictures of me.

011-2
The start of the trip, the first hint of the storm to come.

012-2
And we hit freezing.

020-2
I felt like we were driving through a snow tunnel, it was coming right at us. Kind of creepy.

021-2
Black hole tunnel.

023-2
At the top of the pass, this is as cold as it got that night.

024-2
And at the top of the pass, at that crazy 23 degree weather...Working Man had his window cracked. Crazy Working Man. In his defense, we had the defroster all the way up, full heat, to try to keep the snow from becoming ice on the windshield. We were actually pretty successful, even if we were sweating to death.

029-3
The funny part is, I thought this would be my best opportunity to take a picture of the truck with snow. After all, after the top of the pass and heading into the valley and Reno, the snow should stop altogether....Right?

More on that tomorrow.

FFR - Frozen Flop Rider...or something like that.
