So we've met the three stooges, Moe, Larry and Curly.
A day in the life of me. Jeans, tee-shirts, horses, flip-flops and all! Pictures of anything and everything, recipes from breakfast to dessert, and occasionally the amusing story.

Moe, Larry, and ?????
blp16forever is completely right in saying that they are named after the three stooges. However, there is a fourth. Know who that is?
You know who is on the right. That's Moe! The one on the left is...
Bueller...Bueller...Bueller...
That's Curly! See the curly face? So fitting!
So who is the fourth stooge here? Anyone know? He was only around for a little bit but he was more Stooge than one of the other Stooges.
That's the only hint you get. Good luck!

Welcome Alpacas
Our newest additions. Just a couple pictures for now. I'm way too exhausted to make a long post with photos. So for now, be satisfied you got even this much!
This is Moe. We have four. No prize, but can you guess the other three alpaca's names?
They make a really funny humming sound. This is Moe again. Figured out the others yet?
This is a different one. Unnamed to you. I'll let you know the others tomorrow...or at least this one's name.

Our Garden
Our garden has been producing amazing vegetables this year but I didn't take pictures of the vegetables. (Well one, a monster zucchini but I'm waiting for it to get even bigger before posting that!) I took pictures of the flowers. Enjoy! Oh and there's also some new lamb pictures too!
Our ram Billy: Whatchu lookin' at?
One of our many sunflowers.
I hate bees but I love this picture!
Ditto.
Love the water droplets.
Love the color effect!
Up close and personal.
Can you guess what this is?
Billy's newest offspring, though probably not for long. We have at least one more ready to pop.

Rocky
My Rocky. He's such a good boy. He's now a whole of 8 years old and for those who do not know horses, he's still pretty young. In many ways, he reminds me of a little kid. He's extremely well-behaved for as young as he is and still green in a lot of aspects. He truly wants to please though and that is most important.
Rocky was my Valentine's Day gift this last year. I've only had him for five months but it feels like so much longer. We had heard about him from Uncle G, his neighbor was looking to sell him. He'd never ridden Rocky so he had no idea how well-trained or not trained he was. He was very friendly but I was concerned with him being so young and unused for at least a year that he would be very much like a two-year-old (just learning to be under saddle). We ended up riding him around in a halter and saddle no problem. He wasn't scared of anything and plodded along as slowly as he could. His only flaw? He didn't like water. Not a deal breaker for me though and we tested him out for a month. He was great the whole time and I wanted him.
So while I was gone taking care of my mom's pets while she was away, Matt bought him for me and I came home to my big beautiful boy. At the time though, he was rather skinny.
He went from this:
So skinny and lacking in all muscle tone.
He had the start of a decent butt (something quarter horses are well known for) but it needed a lot of work still!

Driving Lessons
The things I learned on the road:
1. Student drivers look terrified and hysterical driving on the freeway...and I stay as far away from them as possible.
2. Counting tumbleweed to give yourself something to do is not recommended. Nor is counting cars. Basically, don't count anything.
3. People have serious trouble staying in their own lanes. And these aren't the student drivers I'm talking about.
4. Impatient drivers. That's all I have to say about that.
5. Familiar exits are not familiar just because they have the name of one of your exits from home. You're not home yet.
6. Corn processing plants smell like dog food. There's too much corn in dog food.
7. Uneven roads make any voice sound terrible. I have a really good voice but those roads make it terrible. Really, I do. The only reason I didn't become a singer is I didn't want any of the other singers to feel like they weren't good enough. Then I'd be the only singer and that wouldn't be good.
8. Cops seem to only drive one direction. I saw none while I was heading out, but I saw five on my way back. How do they get home?
9. Just because you know how fast you're going in your car, does not mean you know how fast you're going in any car. I learned that we are capable of knowing the draw that each speed has on our car. It's vastly different on more powerful or less powerful cars. Ponder that one.
Don't ponder too hard. Here's some different cuteness to take your mind off of it.

Cuteness Overload
So I do have the things I learned while driving yesterday post...but first, let me just overwhelm you with cuteness. Today, a baby lamb was born here. She's a little girl and she's exceptionally cute. Cuteness overload. At the end I'll talk about my driving lessons.
Now who really wants to hear about my lessons in driving after that? I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore. *Sigh* Too cute.
Cuteness forgetfulness,

Say G'Bye Sister K
Yesterday was Sister K's last ride out here and probably last ride until she comes back out here. We had to do it in the afternoon so as not to interfere with the plans Hubby and I had in the evening. What were the plans you say? You'll find out soon!
She really does love to ride.
Yuma was making her work for her last ride.
Take them. (Hubby is an excellent teacher and driver, so I let him do this. I didn't want to show off my own driving. You know, it would be too hard for her to attain on her first drive...)
Am I really doing this? We're going to die!
She parked it in her lines!
Time for a happy dance!
Okay Sister K, that's enough.
Okay, one more. That's it.

And now for the plans. Matt and I surprised her by giving her the keys to our truck and giving her her first driving lesson ever. She did great! She drove around the parking lot for an hour and we all lived to tell the tale! And I lived to post the pictures. :)

We then had dinner, which Sister K is now sitting next to me finishing off for breakfast. In an hour, we're heading out to take her half-way home. Then I'm ditching her on the side of the road for good. Kidding. I think.
ESM (Evil Step Mommy [not evil at all]) is meeting us at the half-way point to pick her up. At least, that's what she thinks. Bwahaha! Kidding. We think. If she doesn't show, I'm leaving her anyway.
Soon to be sisterless,

No Crime, No Punishment
Yesterday, Sister K and I took our second to last ride. While we were out, we somehow got to talking about committing the perfect crime. She started coming up with outrageous ways to commit an unsolvable crime and I relished shooting down each one. It was rather fun. She was trying so hard and was getting soooo frustrated that I had a way to foil her plan every time. We had teleportation pads, big holes, invisibility cloaks, time machines...crazy devices that she was going to build in her non-existent lab. I told you it was outrageous.
I did learn that taking pictures while cantering is exceptionally hard, even with point and shoot. Ah well, I did my best.

Lucy
I've showed you pictures of our Honey and how much she's grown. Now, I give you Lucy. We picked her up from the pound November 2008 and she is just such a sweet dog. She is one of those dogs who wants to please and hates when someone gets mad at her. I present to you Lucy, before and after.

Hubby's Hair
Normally, I cut Hubby's hair every other week. Sometimes it gets a little long and when it does, Hubby gets creative. This is what happens when you let Hubby choose his own haircut.
Stage 1: I want a mohawk.
Me: Okay.
*Rolls eyes, makes crooked so he can't keep it*
Stage 2: I want fake cornrows.
(Have you SEEN those blue eyes? Could you say no to those? Heaven help me if our children end up with those. I'll never be able to say no.)
Me: Okay
*Makes crooked again*

In the end, I did finish shaving his hair off. Next time I don't want to cut his hair before it gets too long, remind me of these pictures and I will hustle to do it.
