My Favorite...

Tada! My new favorite photo. It will probably only be my favorite for a day or so, but it's my favorite for now!

046

I love the cows and the grass and the blue sky! It's just so spectacular. I think maybe I'll make a print of this someday. Just maybe.

And you thought I was done...

Fooled you! You thought I was done talking about fall. Bwahaha! It will always be autumn here...at least, until winter comes, it gets so rainy and cold that I won't go outside, and I revel gloriously in the rain...until I get sick of it after a week. Not really, it'll take at least two weeks to get tired of the winter weather but I will get tired of the mud much more quickly. I'll stop babbling...

Remember that picture I said I was sure I had but then said I didn't have but that I would take? So I took the picture today and then I got home and found out that I DID have the picture after all but Flickr was giving me a hard time about uploading it...so I took the picture for nothing. But you and I both know that if I hadn't taken the picture, the other one would not have actually existed. The universe, it laughs at me.

020

At any rate, this is the picture in full color, with a better frame than the one I saw yesterday.

054

I love the line the vineyard creates on the mountain. It must be the line the sun follows...or something. I'm sure there MUST be a reason for it...humans don't do anything without reason...or so we like to think.

Okay, I'll get off of fall here again. Here's a picture of me on the motorcycle. Or rather, a picture of me through the mirror on the motorcycle.

009

I like it. It's artsy fartsy. Or just fartsy. You decide.

012

The color on this is stunning. I haven't quite perfected it yet...but that bright green and bright blue, it's amazingly eye-wrenching! Don't stare at it too long...you might get dizzy...worse yet, you might actually get a headache. Please don't do that for my art, it's not worth suffering for. Even I won't suffer for it!

015

Kind of the same thing, only this one is aged. I like the aged look recently. I've made practically two copies of every picture and I age one of them and make the other one overly bright. It's like black and white versus color.

I have a new favorite photo, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see it.

Torturing you,
FFR

PS: I love fall.

PPS: I will try not to mention again that I love fall.

PPPS: Oops, I mentioned it again. Sorry. Sincerely. Not really, but you can pretend I'm sorry.

Even more on the changes of autumn....

Have I told you recently how much I love fall? I'm sure I may have, but maybe I have yet to have convinced you. I LOVE autumn. It's so beautiful! We took a motorcycle ride on Sunday and went through some of the vineyards on our way to Occidental. Additionally, every day on my way to work, I pass the most beautiful view of fall foliage. There is a yellow house surrounded by trees in all their orange, yellow, and red glory and it's so unbelievably gorgeous.

023

See? Isn't it stunning? And this is with the aged effect, wait until you see it full color!

022

Same house, full color...not as well framed I admit. I'm sure I have a better one.

See that blank space right there? Yeah, that supposedly better picture was supposed to go there. I don't have one. Such a disappointment. I don't know if the leaves have all blown off yet, if not, I'll get one. Then I'll put it there.

No, that's not true. I'll put it on its own post because I'll have forgotten to put it there.

027

Out at the Delta, the water is really low right now...if not, this outhouse might be in water. Kind of randomly placed anyway.

035

I told you we saw vineyards, I bet you thought I forgot. Teaches you to think!

I have more, but unfortunately, I must be off to work. I'll post the rest of them after or tomorrow...probably tomorrow. Yeah, tomorrow.

The wind tried to blow us away...

The wind yesterday (and continuing today) tried its best to blow us away but fortunately, Henry weighs 1300lbs and Rocky weighs 1000lbs. As such, we were able to sneak in a ride before our motorcycle ride.

Henry was doing really well...then about ten minutes in, he decided he'd had enough. Alas, Henry likes to be lead more than he likes to be ridden. Either way, it was still a great ride!

042

034

Henry gets so relaxed when he's being led...and so does Working Man.

038

049

When Henry decides to eat...he eats. Period.

Enjoy the blustery day if you have it, I know we do.

More on seasonal changes...

So, a few weeks ago, when the rain was just rolling in, we tilled our fields and seeded them with grass. After the first couple of rains, this is what we had:

002-2

Now, after several more rains, this is what we have:

052

024

Please note, the one place where we did NOT seed looks like this:

053

Tell me, why did Working Man and his dad work so hard on seeding the ground...when it looks better where we did not seed? I think WM gave me an explanation...but I do not remember it when I look at these photos. It just flees my mind...like so many other things that are seemingly unimportant. Like how to give change without a computer, phone numbers without my phone, reading without my kindle...basically, how to live without technology....but I digress...

I trust that these seeds will make for much more grass...soon....ish.
